ERIE, Pa. - Skylar Fontaine tallied two goals and an assist, while Alina Mueller and Chloé Aurard each recorded a goal and an assist to lead No. 1 Northeastern (21-1-1) to a 5-1 win over No. 10 Robert Morris (16-8-1) in the NCAA quarterfinals on Monday at Erie Insurance Arena. The top-ranked Huskies advance to their first-ever Women's Frozen Four and will face the winner of No. 4 Colgate (15-6-1) and No. 6 Minnesota Duluth (11-6-0) on Thursday in the national semifinals.

The Huskies controlled much of the play and outshot the Colonials 46-21. Aerin Frankel earned her NCAA-leading 19th win of the season, making 20 saves, and Katie Cipra lit the lamp for the third time in the last four games. Northeastern improves to 33-0-1 when Mueller scores a goal over the last two seasons, and Fontaine moved into second in the NCAA with her fourth game-winning goal.

Aurard scored her NCAA-best third shorthanded goal just under eight minutes into the contest to start the scoring for the Huskies. Fontaine gave the Huskies a 2-0 lead in the second period by using her speed to create a breakaway and beat the RMU goaltender. The Colonials scored on the power play to cut the deficit in half in the final minute of the period, but NU's Mueller took back the momentum on a rebound goal with 3.8 seconds left in the second to give Northeastern a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes of play.

The third period was all Huskies, getting goals from Cipra on the backhand (7:11) and Fontaine had a beautiful deflection goal to the upper part of the net (14:09) to secure the Huskies' first-ever trip to the Women's Frozen Four. Northeastern is riding the nation's longest unbeaten streak, now at 21.
