RICHMOND, Va. – Freshman outside hitter Abby Reck of Northeastern volleyball was named CAA Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
 
Reck garnered all-tournament honors at the Bryant Invitational after tallying 41 kills on a .283 hitting percentage and 25 digs in a 3-0 weekend for the Huskies. Reck was stellar on offense and defense, recording double figures in all three matches while adding 1.79 digs per set. Against Lafayette, the freshman tallied a season-best 17 kills on .349 hitting with eight digs, and followed up with her first career double-double, recording 12 kills and 12 digs in the four-set win over Siena. Reck then closed the weekend with another 12 kills against Bryant.
 
Reck and the Huskies will host Northern Colorado in their home opener on Thursday, September 7. First serve is slated for 5 p.m., and will stream on FloVolleyball.
