Gay W. Milbrandt, who has since passed away, was elected to the Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in the sports of track, basketball, baseball and football.

Milbrandt, who graduated from the College of Engineering in 1935, is the only Northeastern athlete to letter in four different sports. He found the most success in track and field, setting indoor and outdoor records at Northeastern in the shot put of 47 feet plus, that lasted for over 20 years. Milbrandt captained the track team of 1933-34 and won the Alumni Track Trophy that year as its most valuable member. He competed on the basketball team from 1930-33 and was the Greater Boston All Star Basketball center in 1932. Milbrandt played on Northeastern's first and second football teams in 1933 and '34, and on the baseball team in 1931. In total he won nine varsity letters at Northeastern.

After graduation, he would go on to become president of Milbrandt and Co., and held numerous professional offices in his home state of New York. Among them, he was president and director of the Pelham Chamber of Commerce, president and director of the N.Y. State Mutual Agents Assn., director of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Agents, and the director of the Utica Memorial Agents Advisory Board. He also was a Husky Associates Charter Member and was the director of the National Council for over 10 years.
