Maurice Murray (class of 2009) was a four-year running back for the Northeastern football team between 2004 and 2007.

A native of New Rochelle, New York, Murray was the Huskies’ all-time leading rusher, and holds career records in total rushing yards (3,806), rushing attempts (819), rushing touchdowns (43), and total touchdowns (43).

As a senior in 2007, he tied the single-season record for rushing touchdowns with 14, and his 1,421 season rushing yards are second best in program history. Murray earned all-conference second team selections in 2005 and 2006, and was named to the all-conference first team in 2007, along with receiving New England All-Star honors.

During his football career at Northeastern, he ran for 100 or more yards in 17 games, the most all-time. After graduating, Murray played club football with the United States national team in 2011.
