Lonnie Hooker was a three-year letterwinner from 1984 to 1986, setting school records in both the 55-meter dash (6.32 seconds) and the 100-meter dash (10.49 seconds). He was a three-time New England Champion in the 55-meter dash and a two-time New England Champion in both the 100- and 200-meter dash.

Hooker also recorded several top-ten finishes on Northeastern’s all-time performance lists. In addition to his two school records, Hooker was a part of the second ranked 4x100 meter relay team, which posted a time of 40.46 seconds. He is also ranked third in the 200-meter dash (21.05 seconds), fourth in the 4x100 meter relay (40.56 seconds), and fifth in the 4x400 meter relay (3:14.07).

While at Northeastern, Hooker was also a member of the football team as a starting halfback. During his tenure, Hooker was part of the leading ground-gaining offensive unit in the nation among Division I-AA teams, averaging 6.34 yards per possession.

Hooker, now a Logistics Project Manager at the Pentagon, continues to compete in track and field. As part of the Masters Track M50 age group, Hooker is ranked first nationally in the 60-meter dash (7.49 seconds) and ninth nationally in the 200-meter dash (25.38 seconds).

Hooker is also the owner of a bronze World medal in the M45 100-meter dash, a Penn Relays Championship title in the M50 100-meter dash, and two USATF National Masters Indoor Track and Field Championship titles in the M52 60-meter dash and the M52 200-meter dash.
