Jane Miller was inducted into the Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in the sports of basketball, field hockey and lacrosse.

Miller was an athlete of prolific proportions at Northeastern. She captained all three teams, earned a total of 12 varsity letters and emerged as one of Northeastern's most productive athletes. In her playing days at both the collegiate and amateur levels, she was a first team, New England Lacrosse Team selection from 1972 through 1977 and earned a starting spot on the United States National Team in 1972, 1974 and 1976. Miller developed into the quality lacrosse woman to whom other lacrosse players are compared. She was a multi-college all star in lacrosse, field hockey and basketball at Northeastern and took off on a distinguished career as a team captain of both the New England and Boston Lacrosse Associations.

In addition to the three varsity sports she played, Miller squeezed in some time for volleyball and badminton and became the Massachusetts D Badminton singles and doubles champion during her tenure at Northeastern.

Miller's professional awards and affiliations read like a Federal Building floor directory. She was a member of the Women's Sports Foundation, and the United States Basketball Officials and Field Hockey Associations, to name a few, and in 1981, received the prestigious Outstanding Young Women of America Award.
