Kristin Kowalik-Grillo (class of 2007) was a four-year letterwinner for the Northeastern women’s soccer team, appearing in 78 games for the Huskies from 2003 to 2006.

A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Kowalik broke through during her freshman season in 2003, as her 11 goals and 26 points are third and fourth best, respectively, in a single season in program history. Her success on the pitch during her rookie season netted her 2003 America East Rookie of the Year honors, and a selection to the conference All-Rookie Team.

The following year, Kowalik piled on another 22 points with nine goals, and remains the only player in Northeastern history to have recorded 20 or more points in consecutive seasons.

Over her Husky career, she earned four straight all-conference team selections, and was named to the NSCAA All-Northeast Third Team in 2006. Kowalik’s career marks of 30 goals and 73 points were both ranked first on the Northeastern all-time lists for five seasons between 2006 and 2011.
